Fulham are reportedly leading the race for highly rated Liverpool winger Harry Wilson. This is according to the publication from popular media outlet Goal which stated that the Reds want to sell the player this summer after several loan spells.

Liverpool have sent Welsh international Wilson on loan to clubs like Bournemouth, Derby County, Hull City and Cardiff City in recent seasons. He has two years left on his contract and Liverpool are keen to sell him as part of their summer clear-out.

Wilson is part of the Liverpool squad who are in Austria for a pre-season training camp but he’s expected to leave the Merseyside club this summer with Fulham leading the chase for his signature. Fulham have a longstanding interest in the Welsh national team player but they are yet to step up their interest in him with a bid.

24-year-old Wilson spent last season on loan at Cardiff City where he impressed as the Bluebirds missed out on the playoffs. It has been revealed that the Welsh international has decided to make a permanent move this summer to boost his career.

For now, Fulham have not made a bid for Wilson who’s valued at £15m by Liverpool. Personal terms with the player won’t be much of a problem for the Cottagers but the major issue would be with the transfer fee. It remains to be seen if the Cottagers would be willing to meet the asking price from the Reds.

Liverpool winger Wilson could have moved to Burnley last summer but the Clarets were not able to secure a deal for him. Burnley had a £12m bid turned down for the player. The Reds wanted more money for him.

During his time at Cardiff City, Wilson scored seven goals in 38 appearances for the Welsh team. He was in the Wales squad for the Euro 2020 tournament though his tournament ended with a red card in the 4-0 defeat at the hands of Denmark in the round of 16. Wales were dumped out of the tournament by the Danes.
